This week I had the pleasure of playing with both new Scout sets:

I've included a portion of each creation below them, if you peek back to my last two postings you can see a plethora of detailed pictures of the jar and the layout.

I have a list a mile long of all the scouting events and the pictures to go with

...these stamps will definitely get a lot of use.

She is Scout Sophia and will be available Friday

If you are a fan of Girl Scout Cookies you might relate...

In order to get a jump start on buying said cookies...

You'll need about 399 more pennies..
Don't forget cookies and stamps make great gifts!

How many days 'til the Cookie Kick Off???

If you have a Girl Scout~ Scout Sophia would be very useful!!

Paper Pretties Day 5 Preview...

I was like a student in class waving my hand,
"Me, me, me- I'll volunteer",

when I saw this new Scout Cooper set.

(available Friday in the Paper Pretties Boutique)

Seeing as how I now have my very own Tiger Scout

I had no doubt I would have multiple uses for it!

A week ago, for instance...

Ian had a pack meeting/ kind of a fun reward night

awarding all of the scouts a chance to win raffles,

and to receive prizes for selling popcorn.

Ian did not win one of the chance drawings,

but was ultra excited that he sold enough popcorn

to earn his way to day camp next summer,

a ticket to an evening field trip and a marshmallow shooter.

here is the full set...

We knew that in each den the scout that...

(follow along with the title)

(Mr. Jim was such a good sport!)
we just didn't know (as the journaling states)
that Ian was THE one-
until they called his name!
~too cool

Here is the entire layout...

What event will Scout Cooper help us scrapbook next?
If you've got a scout I recommend this stamp!
See how some of the other Prettie Girls
created with this great set...

Happy creating,

A little FaLaLa, HoHoHo, Snow and...

"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee"

all rolled into one!

It's tutorial time at...

The Pixie Cottage

In the spirit of the Season known for decorations

I thought I'd present to you an ARTishtic Ornament.

The Vision....

utilizing my new Snowflake embossing folder & Cuttlebug,

an empty acrylic snap together ornament from Hobby Lobby...

and the red rubber stamp...

Here Comes Winter by ARTish

To cut the "perfect circles" I used Creative Memories

small circle template on the outside with the red blade.

lesson learned...cut first THEN emboss.

...works much better in that order!

Stamp and color...I'm doing each step in duplicate

so that no matter which side you view the ornament there will be art!

I use the Creative Memories cutter again- cutting the bears into "coasters" and then from the snow hills up used scissors to cut around the stamp edge. For added dimension I then mounted the colored and glossed bears onto the embossed snowflake circles using 3-d tape.
(note~ the flakes have been tinted with blue chalk)

Can't have rolling snow hills without snow...
"let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"

Place the double-sided
Here Comes Winter by ARTish bear circles
on the ornament ledge...

the 'tea cup' view...
Repeat the blizzard on the other half,
snap together, and commence to singing Christmas tunes.

Far warmer than shoveling the snow...

Voila!

How many more to cover a tree?

*None, if I take the Charlie Brown approach!

There are several Pixie Cottage Stamps

and multiple Digital Images by The Pixie Cottage
that would be fantastic for creating ornaments like this one.

Happy Creating,

and an early Merry Christmas,
