You've heard When Life Hands You...

Lemons Make Lemonade.
But what do you do when...
the inside of your house looks like the tornado really did hit
because your darling puppy did not know what to do with himself
when said tornado was en route;
except for attack all of the pillows he could sink his teeth into???
MY creative answer...
after the deep breaths, and thankful thoughts
that he did not eat our entire bed...
capture the moment in a stamp!

Want to meet the culprit?

(-good thing he's cute! )

Introducing with a capital "W"....

WHATCHAMACALLIT

Yes, really, ALL 15 letters!

That's a whole other story...in short, imagine...

the pup with one ear up, one ear down comes for a trial weekend, by Sunday night things are going well, my fingers and toes are crossed, the kiddos are excited, Daddy says "o.k. he can continue to stay, but I get to name him." (not really thinking out the fact that he was leaving in the a.m. for a 2 week business trip) jokingly I asked the children, "So what are we supposed to holler out the door when we want his attention, "Hey, Whatchamacallit"?" They thought that was hysterical and fourteen days later that's all he had been called...Daddy was a wee bit perplexed, but the name could not suit this particular pup any better!

The night of the feathers has been memorable...

completely covering the dining room, bedroom, and hallways...

Good thing we were only gone an hour!
The scrapbooker in me shows, as I preserved authentic feathers in my creation...
(sewn up secure in a page protector)

recycled pillow coverings...
and played with my sewing machine dial while stitching..

Signing off with hugs and slobbery kisses :)
Here is a pic from his very first day with us 1 year and 3 weeks ago.

So, next time you find yourself staring at one of life's lemons

or a houseful of feathers find a little joy in it...

You'll be glad you did!
